Gallery 874 | Contemporary Art Gallery in St. Louis
Gallery 874 is an artist-run contemporary art gallery in Shrewsbury, St. Louis, dedicated to artist-led exhibitions, creative freedom, and professional presentation. We provide artists with space to exhibit, share their voice, and engage the public—without institutional gatekeeping.
A Space For Artistic Freedom
Gallery 874 was created in response to a time when many artists felt pressure to stay silent or compromise their voice.
We believe artists should be free to express their ideas, perspectives, and truths without fear of censorship, marginalization, or exclusion.
Art has always been a way to reflect reality, question power, and connect people through shared humanity.
At Gallery 874, artists are not asked to soften their message or conform to institutional silence.
We support thoughtful, honest, and courageous creative expression.
Freedom of speech belongs to everyone.
And artistic freedom is essential.

Mousa Art Initiative through Gallery 874 presents Art Against Erasure: A Palestinian Exhibition, a powerful and unapologetic group exhibition addressing the ongoing destruction of Palestinian life, culture, and future—particularly in Gaza. On view March 13 – May 12, 2026, this exhibition brings together artists from all over the United States working in visual media whose work bears witness to displacement, loss, resilience, and resistance.
While many cultural institutions remain silent, this exhibition takes a clear stance. It is an act of witness. An act of moral clarity. An act of resistance to erasure.
Through painting, mixed media, and installation, participating artists confront themes of memory, survival, and the urgent need to preserve truth through creative expression. This exhibition creates a public space for dialogue in a time of deep humanitarian crisis.
Host Your Own Exhibition
Rent the Gallery. Curate Your Vision. Be Seen.
Gallery 874 offers artists the opportunity to rent the gallery weekly for solo exhibitions, group shows, and curated pop-ups.
Each exhibition includes exclusive access to the gallery for a week, allowing time to install work, host events, engage audiences, and let the exhibition unfold beyond a single opening night.
